Nearby Recreation: Cook Forest State Park is 20 minutes away. The 8,500-acre Park and 3,136-acre Clarion River Lands lie in scenic northwestern Pennsylvania. Bordered by the picturesque Clarion River, the park is most known for virgin white pine, and hemlock timber stands. Classified as a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service, Cook Forest State Park is often referred to as the “Black Forest” of Pennsylvania. Within minutes of the property is Clear Creek State Park. Clear Creek State Park encompasses 1,901 acres, covering a scenic portion of the Clear Creek Valley from PA 949 to the Clarion River. The park has camping, rustic cabins, and access to the Clarion River fishing and boating. The Clarion River flows along the park border and provides fishing for trout, warmwater game fish, and panfish. Other activities include: hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking, fishing, and camping.
