The property is almost entirely forested with a nice mix of hard maple, black cherry, soft maple, hickory, basswood, along with Norway spruce and larch, creating a mosaic of quality feeding and bedding areas for deer while also providing current and future timber value. Timber was last harvested in 2023 to remove the dying white ash affected by the ash borer.
The result of logging is an excellent network of trails throughout the property making it easy to hike for hunting or pleasure as well as for use of ATV’s and side by sides. Most areas on the property can be reached using the internal trail system.
There is a natural pond that is more than an acre in size in the north central part of the property. There is no information as to how deep it is, but it certainly is a water source for wildlife of all types and may even reign in a duck or two during the peak flight season.
There are also a few areas with openings that could make excellent hidden locations for food plots. The open field area on the southeast side even has a nice view!
The property has approximately 2,585 feet of road frontage and is located at 478 Dunham Road. Electric is not available at the property and is about a quarter mile away.
This would make a great spot for your future camp for deer and turkey hunting with solid hunting here and plenty of State Land only 5 miles away and Pleasant Brook at the end of Dunham Road for your rainbow trout fishing pleasure.
