Less numerous tree species present include; apple, elm, American hornbeam and Eastern hophornbeam.
Some of the best fishing in the country is less than 30 miles away; the Salmon River, famous for its king and coho salmon, brown trout, steelhead, and rainbow trout, or Lake Ontario for more of the same, plus; walleye, bass, pike, and perch.
